Yeah, you red that right, Facebook now has one billion users every month. The biggest social media platform in the world continues to grow every day, Facebook is actually part of our everyday lives now as billions of updates are being posted on the popular website on a daily basis. The website has really changed how we connect in the world as so many activities take place on it every second, people and companies promote their business and make profits, others have gotten popular through this platform while some people actually live off it.
Facebook is not the only company experiencing increase in numbers according to the statistics that has just been posted by the Founder, Mark Zuckerberg. WhatsApp and Messenger now has one billion users too every month, while Instagram has grown to 500 million users too monthly.
In an update on Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg wrote:
“We just shared our quarterly results and gave an update on our community’s progress to connect the world. Our community now has 1.7 billion people.
We hit milestones of 1 billion people on Messenger and 500 million on Instagram each month. We successfully flew Aquila — our solar-powered plane designed to beam internet to remote parts of the world.
We saw people use live video in new and profound ways, from Candace Payne in her Chewbacca mask to Members of Congress sitting in on the floor of the House of Representatives. And we worked to give you new ways to share — like 360 photos, including the one below with highlights from the quarter.
Thanks to everyone in our community for being a part of this journey to connect the world”.
Well, there you have it. As the world population increases daily we expect these figures to increase in few months’ time.
Cheers Mark, It can only get better.
