Basic Requirements for all Participants

Here are the essential requirements for you to meet.  Once you fulfil the following, you can participate in the upcoming season of the Nigerian Idols.

  • First, the tv show has an age limit for intending contestants. The show is open to people between the ages of 18 and 28. Applicants should produce either a birth certificate or a driving license at on the registration day. You can present both documents at the same time.
  • Children under the age of 5 years are not allowed into the venue.
  • Some forms of clothing are not allowed during the audition. Such clothing includes articles inscribed with logos of designer or sport brands
  • You will be given a wrist band during the registration process. When you get to the audition venue, you will be asked to present this wrist band by the organizers.
  • Applicants must be Nigerian by birth.
  • Applicants should reside in Nigeria.
  • If you have participated in any previous edition of Nigerian Idols, you are ineligible to participate in subsequent seasons.

  • Visit Nigerian Idol 2019 registration Season 8 official portal/website at
  • Log on to the Nigerian Idol 2019 official portal website.
  • Input the necessary data into the online application. Click on Submit.
  • After filling the online form, send a text message containing your name and audition location to 5599. Only text messages from Etisalat subscribers will receive a reply. Each SMS costs 100 naira.
  • A confirmation message will be sent to your phone. Keep the message safe because you will present it at the audition venue.
