Lenovo Z5s Launched with Triple Camera and Snapdragon 710 Chipset

Tech company, Lenovo has become one of the latest brands to adopt the notched screen trend as seen during its unveiling of the Z5s on Tuesday. This premium mid-range device was launched alongside other Lenovo smartphones at an event in Beijing, China.

Apart from the notch which houses the selfie camera, the phone also has several features including a triple camera setup, a Snapdragon 710 chipset, a gradient colour-look and Game Turbo technology that prevents your phone from heating up during gaming. Lenovo Z5s Design and Display

The Lenovo Z5s has a body of aluminium and glass and weighs 172 grams. It also has a width of 74.5 mm and a length of 156.69 mm. Like most flagship devices in the market, this product has a bar-shaped look.

At the front of the phone, the Lenovo Z5s sports a 6.3-inch LTPS IPS display with a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. The screen also has a screen to body ratio of 88.73% and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. The display has a teardrop notch and no bezels surrounding it.

On the rear panel lies a vertically placed triple camera set up above an LED flash. You can also find a fingerprint scanner in the middle of the phone.

The phone has several colour options such as Starry Gray, Titanium Crystal Blue, and Honey Love Orange colours.

Lenovo Z5s Camera

This smartphone has a triple primary camera setup which consists of a 16 MP wide-angle lens, acting as the primary sensor. Next is a telephoto lens with 8 MP sensor and 2x optical zoom, while the third one is a 5 MP depth-sensing camera for background blur and portrait photos.

The cameras have apertures of f/2.4 and except the main camera which has an opening of f/1.8. A dual LED flash lies below the rear camera. Alternatively, the selfie snapper is a single sensor of 16MP with an aperture of f/2.0.

Lenovo Z5s Hardware and Software

The Lenovo Z5s functions with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 Soc with an Adreno 616 GPU. The smartphone will also feature Game Turbo technology that cools the phone during long sessions of gaming.

Concerning storage, the Z5s has three variants; one version has 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage; another with 6GB RAM with internal storage of 64GB and the last comes with 4GB RAM alongside 64GB worth of storage. All versions can have their internal storage via MicroSD card extended to 256GB. The phone uses the SIM 2 slot (hybrid slot) as its card slot.

The device runs on this year’s released Android 9 Pie based on ZUI 10.

Battery and Connectivity

A non-removable lithium polymer battery with a moderate capacity of 3300mAh will power the phone. Furthermore, the battery promises a standby time of 300 hours and 14 hours of regular use.

The Lenovo Z5s has a dual sim slot setup for Nano SIMs and supports all networks including 4G LTE. The device also works with most WIFI standards such as Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, 802.11n 5GHz, Dual band, Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi Display, Wi-Fi Hotspot, and 2x2MU-MiMO. Lenovo Z5s: Pricing and Availability

The 4/64GB storage edition comes at a price of $203 while you can get the 6/64 version for about $ 276. However, the larger 6/128GB variant (which is a limited-edition device with an autograph of Chinese Celebrity, Zhuo Yilong) costs $290. Most versions are available for pre-order with actual sales beginning from a day before Christmas. But the limited edition will hit stores as from January 12.
