Itel S42 was recently released in India and it packs some very decent specification for a budget smartphone. There is no information yet if the device will be available in Nigeria, should it, it will be a device embraced by many. The S42 comes as an upgrade on the S32 which was released during itel’s 10th anniversary celebration last year.
S42 has a 5.65 inch screen and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 chipset, first of its kind from the Transsion Holding Company, with itel known for producing cost-effective devices with MTK processors.

Itel S42 Design and Display
S42 features the typical itel design with a black plastic cover, it measures 153×73.55×8.25 in dimension with little bezels. Its fingerprint sensor is at the back and its 13MP front and back camera is well positioned wilt LED Flash light.
In terms of display, the smartphone has 5.65 inch screen 2.5D curved glass with a resolution of 720×1440.
OS and Software
The smartphone has a 3GB RAM and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 chipset which clocks at a speed of 1.4GHz. It runs on Android Oreo 8.0 with an Adreno 308 GPU. It features a 3GB RAM and a 16GB internal memory which is expandable up to 128GB via the SD card.
Itel S42 Camera and Connectivity
There is a 13MP rear camera with flashlight with the same also coming on it’s from camera with f/2.2 aperture and 120 degrees wide-angle lens for shooting selfies. Both front and back cameras has LED Flash light.
In terms of connectivity, itel S42 supports 4G VoLTE. It has a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.2, OTG and GPS.
