Instagram is rolling out multiple links in bio worldwide. Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg made the announcement on Tuesday on his broadcast channel. “You can now add up to five links in your Instagram bio,” he shared. “Probably one of the most requested features we’ve had.”
Previously, Instagram users could only add one link to their profile page. To show multiple links, users had to resort to using link services like Linktree. To add multiple links on Instagram with the new update, go to your profile and, click on the edit button, then navigate to “Links”. With the new update, there is now an option for users to add up to five links in their bio. With each link, users can also add a description that will appear as a name in place of the URL. After saving the edit, Instagram will show the first link in the profile page and the others as “and 4 other links”. All links can also be rearranged to give priority to the one the user wants profile visitors to see.
It’s a surprise it took Instagram this long to roll out the feature, but creators can now finally add multiple links to their bio. The company also announced paid verification in February, a move inspired by Elon Musk’s Twitter.
