Infinix Mobility, the smartphone company owned by Transsion has made a foray into the Nigerian electronics market. The brand unveiled Infinix Smart TV S1 today and it comes in two sizes – a 43-inch size which will retail for N93,900 and a 55-inch size which will be sold for N152,000.

“The launch of the first Infinix smart TV is going to motivate and enrich the tech industry in Africa,” explains Amos zuo, Infinix Mobility Country Manager. “As the young generations grow up, their demands for entertainment continues to rise and with the combination of smart technologies like our smartphones and the newly launched smart TV, we will be able to meet their demands for non-stop entertainment and more so, surpass their expectations and consequently inspire them to think bigger and get more creative.”
While the 43 inches has a Full HD Display, the 55 inches comes equipped with an Ultra HD (4K) resolution. There is HDR support to bring out more depth and colours with a great viewing experience. Infinix is also releasing an Infinix Life App for smartphones so users can cast what’s showing on their mobile device to the TV screen. The app also features an E-remote function to control the TV with your mobile device. Connectivity option for the TV also includes Bluetooth 4.0 to connect external devices such speakers, earphone and many more.
The TV will be on sale in retail outlets across the country.
