Google Stadia is coming to eight new European countries bringing the total number of countries to 22 from 14. Within the next 24 hours, people in Austria, Czechia, Hungary, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia and Switzerland will have access to the cloud gaming service. All that is required to now open a Stadia account is a Gmail address, google says.
Destiny 2 and Super Bomberman R online are currently free to play since November as part of Stadia’s first year anniversary and Google also announced plans to bring Stadia to iOS as a web app.
All new users of Google Stadia will enjoy one month free of Stadia Pro but after that will have to play €9.99 monthly to continue enjoying the service. The premium subscription provides access to “a ton of free games” and subscribers can start playing immediately after signing up. Google stadia works on laptops, desktops, compatible phones and tablets or on a TV connected with a Chromecast Ultra and the Stadia controller.
CD Projekt Red’s Cyberpunk 2077 is coming to Stadia in what will be its biggest game launch yet and those who pre-order on Stadia or purchase the game within its first week will be eligible for free Stadia Premiere Edition — the bundle that includes a Google Chromecast Ultra and a Stadia controller for playing on a TV.
