Google today announced it will be holding the launch of the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro at a virtual event this October 19th at 10AM PT. The announcement did not come as a surprise today because Google is known to reveal new hardware every October.
“On October 19, we’re officially introducing you to Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro—the completely reimagined Google phones,” the company revealed in an FAQ page about the event. “Powered by Tensor, Google’s first custom mobile chip, they’re fast, smart and secure. And they adapt to you. #Pixel6Launch”
In August, Google revealed a teaser of what is to expect with the new Pixel smartphones. The Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro will debut Google’s own System on a Chip (Soc) called The Tensor. The Pixel 6 Pro is also expected to feature a 6.7” QHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate.
The Fall launch event on October 19th is expected to answer all burning questions concerning the Pixel flagships.
