ChatGPT can now browse the web and provide its users with “current and authoritative information,” at least if you are subscribed to its Plus and Enterprise version, the company announced on Wednesday. The generative AI was previously limited to data before September 2021.
A new feature called Browse with Bing allows ChatGPT to crawl the internet for the latest information when queried and the answers will include direct links to web sources so users can check for more details. To enable Browse with Bing, premium subscribers must click ‘Profile & Settings’, navigate to ‘Beta features’, and toggle on ‘Browse with Bing’ under GPT-4.
OpenAI says the feature will be expanded to all users “soon”, just like the voice and image update it released recently.
