Apple today officially announced the long-awaited iPhone 12 event for September 15. The event will be a virtual one, of course, due to the ongoing global pandemic and it will start at 10AM PT / 1PM ET. Apple is expected to unveil its new line-up of iPhone 12 models, the Apple Watch Series 6, a new iPad Air and more.
While the timing is a little bit later than the previous Apple Events, Apple has already confirmed the iPhone 12 will be shipping a few weeks later than expected which means the new iPhones will be available in October.
The event will be live-streamed on Apple’s website, on YouTube and the Apple TV app. Top of the line of expected devices is the all new iPhone 12 models, Apple is expected to unveil two cheaper iPhone 12 models 5.4 inches and 6.1 inches screen sizes, and two Pro models at 6.1 inches and 6.17 inches screen sizes.
Given the “Time Flies” tagline as reported by The Verge, Apple will be going big with its Apple Watch Series 6 announcement which is rumoured to feature oxygen monitoring and improved sleep tracking.
The event will be similar to the virtual WWDC keynote held earlier this year which featured Tim Cook and other Apple executives. More details are expected to be revealed concerning the iOS 14, iPadOS 14, macOS 11 Big Sur, watchOS 7 and tvOS 14.
