X is rolling out a new “History” tab that stores all your bookmarks, videos, likes, and articles in one place. The new History tab now replaces the Bookmarks button, which appeared in the left-side menu of the X mobile app.
On Wednesday, X’s head of product, Nikita Bier, made the announcement, describing the update as a way “to help you keep track of all your favourite content on X.” The History tab is rolling out on iOS for now, but it is expected to be available on Android and Web soon.
The new History tab shows all bookmarks and likes in a section; users will also see the history of video content they have watched in the videos section. The likes section works like the bookmarks, showing only what a user likes, while the articles section is populated based on what a user reads. The History tab is private and can only be seen by the user.
The update to the X mobile app mirrors that of the web browser, allowing users to interact with pages they have previously visited. It also consolidates features that were previously in separate places into one single tab.
“The Timeline moves fast, so we hope this creates a better place for catching up on long-form content,” Bier added in the X post announcing the feature.
