It is not uncommon for Instagram users to share screenshots of viral tweets on their Stories. Twitter is making that better by letting iOS users share tweets directly from Twitter to their Instagram Stories. The company began testing the feature in 2020 and is now finally rolling it out to Twitter for iOS.
Announcing the feature, the official Twitter account tweeted “pls stop posting screenshots of Tweets on IG Stories. You can now share Tweets directly on iOS. – management.”

To share tweets directly on Instagram Stories, all you have to do is tap on the share icon under every tweet and choose the Instagram Stories option. There is a caveat to it though, tweets shared on Instagram Stories are non-interactive – if you tap on it, it won’t take you to the original tweet on Twitter. The feature does help in a way, at least there will be no need to continue saving screenshots in your camera roll.
