Go to YouTube and do a search for “Toss a Coin to Your Witcher” to see how popular the song is. After a month of releasing the hit series on Netflix, the soundtrack album from The Witcher has now been made available on Apple Music and Spotify.
The “Toss a Coin to Your Witcher” single is available to stream and download but you will have to wait till January 24th to get the complete album.
When the series was released December 20th 2019, Netflix didn’t anticipate the song was going to be an instant hit and it didn’t initially make provisions for it to be released separately. After several questions from fans, composer Sonya Belousova posted on Instagram, she said:
“I wanted to address all your questions regarding when the official soundtrack for The Witcher is going to be released. We have the soundtrack ready to go and can’t wait to get it out, however there’s no ETA at the moment since it is up to Netflix whether or not to make it happen. We also wanted to let you know that the only 4 tracks released so far (Geralt of Rivia, Toss A Coin To Your Witcher, The Song of The White Wolf, The Last Rose of Cintra) have been released via our official SoundCloud.”
Joey Batey who plays Jaskier The Bard in an interview with Men’s Health said, “It’s the most annoying thing I’ve ever heard. It’s so catchy. Everyone’s been listening to it for a week or so now, and humming it. I’ve had that in my head for eight months.”
In case you missed it, Netflix announced its fourth-quarter earnings for 2019 earlier and it revealed The Witcher series is set to be its most-watched first season show ever in history.
