TikTok has announced the launch of a new dedicated platform for artists called TikTok for Artists. The platform is designed “to provide artists, their labels and their teams with data and insights which can help them better connect with the global TikTok community, promote their music, and drive success both on and off the platform.” The service is launching globally and is currently available in Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Egypt, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Morocco, United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, Argentina, with rollouts expected for other countries “soon,” TikTok says.

The tool was first tested in select countries two months ago before TikTok announced its global rollout on Tuesday. On TikTok for Artists, artists and their team will have access to daily-updated analytics dashboards providing actionable insights into how their music and posts are performing on TikTok. Since its release more than eight years ago, TikTok has become an excellent platform for artists to promote their music. On TikTok, old songs that were once famous have been resurrected, and the platform has also been instrumental in making previously unknown songs go viral. New artists also utilise the platform to promote their music, and it has proven to be an excellent tool for many artists to connect with new audiences.
Some of the key features of TikTok for Artists include:
- Song performance: the number of views, posts and creator engagements per track.
- Post performance: the number of views, likes, comments, shares and post completion rates
- Follower insights: including self-declared gender, age and language
- Step-by-step guides to TikTok’s tools and features.
As part of the launch, TikTok has also announced a new Pre-Release tool. The tool is a self-service tool that artists can use to promote their upcoming releases. The tool will also enable fans and audiences to pre-save albums directly to their Spotify or Apple Music accounts.
TikTok for Artists is available to all artists with a Certified TikTok Artist account. Artists can provide account access to their teams and management.
