  1. (1) Which of tecno 7II or 8D is the best to buy?….(2) I know Tecno 8D has USB-OTG but I want to know if Tecno 7II have USB-OTG too..thanks

      • Please how do I activate the sensor or compass function on the tecno phonepad 7 II? I got the device specifically to run GPS navigation and hiking apps like alpinequest but it keeps telling me compass is disabled. Now this is strange cos the device supposedly has a GPS or assisted GPS. I’ll appreciate any help please.
        Thank you.

        • Hi Aliyu,

I don’t normally use hiking apps but I will try my best to answer this question. You need to calibrate your device’s magnetic sensor first. To do this Go to Google PlayStore and download a compass application, I will suggest Smart Compass or Holo Compass. To calibrate your Android phone’s magnetometer after launching Smart Compass, hold it up and move it around in a figure 8 fashion. Several spins should do the trick. While calibrating, make sure you’re far from computers, electric fans, Wi-Fi routers, or other electronics as these may interfere with the magnetic sensor and its readings. Metal isn’t welcome either, so remove any rings or jewelry that are close to your phone.

So now Smart Compass should be pointing (fairly accurately) towards the north pole.

After this go back to your Alpinequest app and see if it will function properly.

I hope this solves your problem.

          Cheers!
