The hugely popular Reno2 series has finally gotten a successor, Oppo has just unveiled its Reno3 and Reno3 Pro in China. The new devices come with a massive 12GB RAM and the Oppo Reno3 Pro is powered by the newly released octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 1000L chipset which supports 5G connectivity.
The new Reno3 Pro and the Reno3 debuts with 6.5-inch and 6.4-inch HD+ AMOLED display respectively with a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It has an impressive 90Hz screen refresh rate which will guarantee a smooth operation when using the smartphone. While the Reno3 Pro comes is powered by an MTK Dimensity chipset, the Reno3 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765SoC which also has a 5G connectivity support.
In terms of camera, the Oppo Reno3 Pro features a punch-hole display which houses its 32MP selfie camera. Its rear camera is a quad setup featuring a 48MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, 13MP telephoto lens and a 2MP monochrome sensor. The Reno3, on the other hand, has a 60MP main sensor with other specifications the same as the Reno3 Pro quad rear camera setup. On the front is also a 32MP selfie camera which is housed by the waterdrop notch.
Both smartphones run on Android 10 based on Oppo’s new ColorOS 7. In terms of the battery, both devices feature a 4,025mAh capacity under the hood which comes with a Vooc Flash Charge 4.0 which will give you a 50% boost in just 20 minutes of charging.

Oppo Reno3 and Reno3 Pro will be available in Starry Night Blue, Black, White and in Sunrise body colour options. Reno3 is priced at $485 and $530 for the 8GB/128GB and 12GB/128GB storage variant respectively while pricing for the Reno3 Pro goes at $570 and $640 for the 8GB/128GB and 12GB/128GB storage variant respectively.
Reno3 is available for purchase starting December 31 and pre-order begins for the Reno3 Pro but it will not be available until January 10.
