Motorola is unveiling its new 2021 G-series of mid-range smartphones and is sticking with the same names as last year’s edition. The three smartphones – Moto G Stylus, G Power and G Play can be ordered from today, G Play is shipping already while the others will be available from next week.
Moto G Stylus 2021
The 2021 Moto G Stylus has the biggest display of the three with a 6.8” 1080p IPS LCD display. It runs on Android 10 and is powered by a Snapdragon 678 chipset which is paired with an 4GB RAM and a 128GB internal storage which is further expandable via the microSD card slot.
In terms of camera, there is a quad camera setup at the back with a 48MP main shooter, 8MP ultrawide, 2MP macro and 2MP depth sensor. At the front is a punch-hole cutout which houses the 16MP f/2.2 selfie camera. The device is capable of shooting 4k videos at 30fps and hyperlapses.
From the name, it comes with a stylus pen which can be used to make notes and sketches. In terms of juice, it features a 4,000mAh battery capacity that supports 10W standard charging. There is a 3.5mm audio jack and it also features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
The device is available to be ordered for $299.99.
Moto G Power 2021
Moto G Power 2021 has 6.6-inch” 720p IPS LCD display. It runs on Android 10 also but it is powered by a Snapdragon 662 processor. You have a 3GB or 4GB RAM option and also a 32GB or 64GB internal storage option. You can further expand the storage via the microSD card slot.
At the back is a triple camera setup featuring a 48MP main shooter, 2MP macro and depth sensors. The selfie camera is down to 8MP with an f/2.0 aperture.
The Moto G Power gets a bigger 5,000mAh battery with 15W charging support which Motorola claims can last up to 3 days at a single charge. It has a 3.5mm audio jack and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. The smartphone is available to be ordered and will set you back by $199.99.
Moto G Play 2021
The last of the 2021 G-series which is also the most affordable is the G Play, it retails for $169.99. The display goes down to a 6.5” IPS LCD display with a 720p resolution.
At the back is a dual-camera setup featuring a 13MP main shooter and a 2MP depth sensor. The selfie camera is down to 5MP with an f/2.2 aperture.
The device runs on Android 10 and is powered by a Snapdragon 460 chipset paired with a 3GB RAM and a 32GB internal storage which is expandable with a microSD card. It has a 3.5mm audio jack and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. In terms of juice, it comes with a 5,000mAh battery capacity which features the standard 10W charging support.
