The MCW 2020 is upon us and Motorola is expected to unveil its first smartphones for the year at the February 23 event. The Moto G8 and G8 Power are expected to be unveiled and render images from 91mobiles shows what to expect from the devices.
The Moto G8 will be the first smartphone from Motorola’s G-series to come with a punch-hole display, this punch-hole is positioned at the top left corner of the display. The leaked images further confirm a triple-rear camera consisting of an ultra-wide angle lens and a macro lens.
The renders confirms a textured-finish and the Moto G8 is expected to come in at least two colours – white and blue. It has a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor which is emblazoned with the Motorola logo. 3.5mm audio jack is still a thing with Motorola and the G8 is not an exception, this can be seen on top of the device. It’s speaker grill and ports are located below the device, while the volume rocker and power buttons are located at the left-hand side of the smartphone.
Expected Moto G8 Specifications
XDA Developers reports a 6.39inch HD+ display with a 720 x 1560 resolution among others. The device is expected to ship Android 10 out of the box and it will be powered by a Snapdragon 665 AIE chipset. The G8 will be coming with a 2/2/4GB of RAM and 32GB internal memory while another variant may come with a 64GB internal memory.
The punch-hole cutout houses the 8MP selfie camera and it comes with a f/2.0 aperture. It is known already it comes with a triple rear camera featuring a 16MP f/1.7 primary lens, a 2MP secondary lens for macros shots with f/2.2 aperture and an 8MP f/2.2 ultra-wide angle lens.
In terms of juice, you can expect a 4,000mAh battery capacity with 10W fast charge. Connectivity options include WIFI, Bluetooth and NFC. The G8 Power will be coming with a 4,000 mAh battery capacity. Both devices are expected to be unveiled at the MCW 2020.
