Taiwanese chipset maker MediaTek has announced Dimensity 1000+, its flagship 5G chipset. The chipset comes with support for 144Hz screens with a maximum resolution of 1080p+ and 21:9 aspect ratio.
The chipset’s MiraEngine does the task of enhancing SDR video and converting it to HDR10+. There is an Ultrasave technology which reduces power consumption by the 5G modem. The tecnology comes with low and high bandwidth modes and it dynamically switches between them based on the need of particular applications. This allows power reduction by up to 32%.

At full speed the modem delivers 4.7Gbps downlink and 2.5Gbps uplink speeds. Dual SIM smartphones can connect to 5G on both SIMs and the modem has the capacity to switch seamlessly between 4G and 5G based on the connection strength.
The first device to be powered by the chipset will be coming from Vivo iQOO. Not much has been revealed but the phone will be utilizing the Dimensity 1000+’s 144Hz screen support and 5G modem.
