Over ten years ago, Apple started partnering with (RED), and ever since then the biggest smartphone manufacturer in the world has been releasing some special edition of its products, dubbed (PRODUCT) RED; and yesterday RED iPhone 7 and 7 Plus were also released in this special edition.
Apples’s aim of producing this special edition of (PRODUCT) RED-tagged phones is to make its loyal customers contribute their quotas to RED’s objective of making the world HIV/AID-feee, as part of money raised from the sales of the phones will be donated to funding RED’s projects.
The iPhone 7 Red and 7 Plus aren’t different, in term of specs, from the regular iPhone 7 and 7 Plus; only that their aluminium body comes all red in colour, except the front bezel, which is colour white.
According to Apple Newsroom website, this special edition of the phones will be available worldwide, starting from yesterday (24th of March, 2017), but customers will have to wait till ending of March, before shipping starts. Shipping will first be within the US and the 40 countries popular with Apple products; the other countries, not too popular with Apple products, will get the phones by April.
