Infinix Hot 8 has been unveiled by Infinix Mobility, an upgrade to the Hot 7 launched back in March. The device is available in India and it will be unveiled in Nigeria soon.

Commenting on the launch, Anish Kapoor, CEO, Infinix India, said in a statement, “The Infinix Hot 8 is a perfect blend of style, convenience and performance at a pocket friendly price. The success of the Hot series lies in giving our fans #AlotExtra. By introducing several category first features to the sub Rs. 8k segment, the HOT 8 truly reflects Infinix’s philosophy of democratizing the best in smartphone technology for the masses. The phone is the perfect tool for Ek Badi Shuruaat, further strengthening Infinix’s recognition as a brand that brings together aspiration, innovation and utility together. We are certain that the Hot 8 will further add to this narrative built through our sustained efforts.”

The device runs on Android 9.0 Pie based on Infinix’s XOS 5.0 custom UI and is powered by a MediaTek Helio P22 SoC. It comes with a 4GB RAM and a 64GB internal memory which is expandable up to 256GB via the SD card slot.

In terms of display, Infinix Hot 8 has slim bezels, features a waterdrop notch with a 6.5” HD+ LCD display and a 20:9 aspect ratio. The notch houses its 8MP selfie shooter.

The two other lenses come with 2MP for increased picture depth and there is a dedicated low-light sensor at the back as well. The fingerprint sensor and the LED flashlight complete the components on the plastic back of the device.

In terms of juice, Hot 8 is powered by a 5,000mAh battery capacity.
