Design, Display, and Build

This phone features a stunning 6.78-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and an ultra-fast 144 Hz refresh rate, which makes the visuals sharp and everything on the screen move with a smooth, fluid motion. This makes maps, videos, and game effects look clearer and much more defined than standard screens.

The display is also built with safety in mind for users, as it’s protected by Gorilla Glass 7, offering protection against scratches and drops. For users’ long-term comfort, the screen is certified by TÜV Rheinland for low blue light, helping to reduce eye strain. Best of all, with a high peak brightness of 1600 nits, you’ll have no trouble viewing the screen clearly, even when you’re outside in bright sunlight.

This phone’s design is sleek and much more polished than the previous model, the Infinix GT 20 Pro. It feels slim yet sturdy, measuring just 7.99 mm thin and weighing 188 g. The matte finish also hides fingerprints. A key visual feature is the subtle “Mechanical Light Waves,” a dynamic lighting system that reacts to important events like incoming calls, messages, and specific actions within games.

Looking around the device, you’ll find the power button and the GT shoulder triggers neatly placed on the right side. The top edge houses a speaker, a microphone, and an IR blaster (allowing the phone to act as a universal remote). At the bottom, you’ll find a second speaker, the USB-C charging port, another microphone, and the SIM card tray.

Infinix has designed this phone to be rugged enough for daily use, stating that the device is scratch and water-resistant. For security, the phone provides two excellent biometric options: face unlock and fingerprint unlock. During testing, both methods worked flawlessly, ensuring quick and reliable access to the device.

Performance

The Infinix GT 30 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Ultimate. This is a very powerful and efficient build on a 4-nanometer (nm) chipset supporting high-speed memory and storage speed, which makes it the best option for gaming.

When you first start setting up this phone, you’ll immediately notice how fast and responsive it is. Whether you’re opening apps or navigating menus, the phone handles every action quickly and efficiently; you won’t experience frustrating delays or slowdowns during use. This exceptional performance is mainly due to the 12 GB of RAM included in the phone, which makes it excellent at multitasking. You can keep numerous apps open simultaneously and switch between them instantly and easily without worrying about the device lagging or struggling to keep up.

The Gaming Master Edition comes with two special accessories: the MagCharge Cooler and the MagCase. These two items are designed to work perfectly together, creating a system that combines wireless charging and active cooling.

To use this feature, you just snap on the lightweight MagCharge Cooler to the back of the phone. When you do this, the device automatically switches into “Draco Mode.” This mode provides a powerful, active cooling experience, keeping your phone running smoothly and preventing it from overheating even during the longest and most intense gaming sessions.

The phone comes with JBL stereo speakers. The JBL-tuned dual stereo speaker system coupled with the X-axis Linear Motor and 4D Vibration Engine 3.0 allows gamers to enjoy playing times.

Game Performance

The GT 30 Pro is optimized for competitive play, evidenced by its physical and software features. It comes with a 3D vapour cooling chamber, which keeps the device cool when playing high-end games for an extended period of time. The cooling fan in the gaming kit also allows users to attach it to the back when playing games that make the phone temperature warm up.

The phone also comes with a 6-axis gyroscope sensor that enables more precise control for motion-based games like Asphalt Legends.

The phone is equipped with special capacitive shoulder buttons known as the GT Triggers. These buttons sit on the right side of the device, just like the triggers on a game console controller, giving you an advanced level of control. They are highly responsive, allowing you to execute complex moves with just the lightest touch.

Essentially, the GT Triggers instantly upgrade your gaming. They allow a player who usually only uses two thumbs to perform the actions of a six-finger pro, giving you a huge competitive advantage.

Software Performance

The Infinix GT 30 Pro runs on XOS 15.1, based on Android 15, with less bloatware and pre-installed apps. As earlier stated, the Infinix GT 30 Pro isn’t just for gamers, as it comes with the built-in Folax AI assistant, Circle to Search, object eraser, and other AI tools for writing and translation that handle everyday tasks.

Camera Performance

The main camera uses a 108 MP sensor, which is excellent for capturing high-resolution photos. A key feature of this sensor is its 3X lossless zoom, allowing you to zoom in three times without losing clarity or detail in your pictures. Accompanying the main sensor is an 8 MP ultra-wide lens, perfect for capturing expansive landscapes or fitting large groups into a picture. For taking selfies, there is the 13-megapixel selfie camera.

Finally, the phone includes built-in AI-powered editing tools designed specifically for social media. Features like object removal and background cutout let you quickly clean up and polish your photos with minimal effort, making your shots instantly ready to share with friends and family.

Battery Performance

The device is engineered for heavy use, offering specialized battery protection features. The GT 30 Pro has a 5500 mAh battery, and with average use, it lasts the whole day. However, there was a notable drain in the battery of approximately 15 to 18 percent per hour during continuous high-intensity tasks like gaming.

The phone supports 45W wired charging, making it fast to charge from 0 to 100%. It also supports 30W wireless charging and Bypass charging. To ensure longevity and maintain performance during extended sessions, the phone utilizes Bypass Charging 2.0. This feature reduces internal heat and prevents long-term degradation of the battery.

Price

The 12GB RAM and 256GB storage Infinix GT Pro is priced at 549,700 Naira in Nigeria.
