Like every special day on Facebook, users normally see a particular message on top of their News Feeds telling them to play and share a particular video or card in honour of that day. For this year’s Mother’s Day which is today, users will see a message on opening their Facebook application or website telling them to create a personalized card for their mothers whoever they want. They will be able to choose from photos of whoever they want to create the video for.

New Flower Reaction

If you’ve been seeing the new flower reaction on Facebook, it was actually brought back because of Mother’s Day. This new reaction is called Thankful and it appears in form of a beautiful purple flower emoji. See how to make reactions here.

Mother’s Day Stickers on Instagram: Since Instagram is owned by Facebook; the popular photo sharing app will not be let out either. There’s already a sticker for Mother’s Day which can be used in Instagram stories.

Special Frames and Themes

When you open Facebook camera, you will be able to use special themes and frames made for Mother’s Day on the pictures you take. To open this feature on your Facebook app, swipe right on your News Feeds and select the effects option.

Honor Your Mum by Supporting a Cause

This is only available in the US. People will be able to donate to a cause they like or start a fundraiser on Facebook.
