Call of Duty: Black Ops 6

Developed by Treyarch and Raven Software, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will arrive on Xbox One, Xbox Series S / X, PS4, PS5, and PC on October 25th. Activision revealed the gameplay trailer on Sunday during Microsoft’s Xbox Games Showcase. The game will be available on day one to players on Xbox Game Pass.

According to an official description from Activision:

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is a spy action thriller set in the early 1990s, a period of transition and upheaval in global politics, characterized by the end of the Cold War and the rise of the United States as a single superpower. With a mind-bending narrative, and unbound by the rules of engagement, this is signature Black Ops.”

Apart from the brand new campaign, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will launch with 16 new multiplayer maps, including 12 core 6v6 maps and four small-sized Strike maps, with unique locations that can be played in a 2v2 of faceoff 6v6 matches. The multiplayer experience will include a new feature, Omnimovement, that allows players to sprint, slide, and dive in any direction.

The round-based zombie mode makes a return in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. It will feature two new maps at launch and various weapon upgrades. Players will have fun by making their way through hordes of the undead in the Zombies mode.

The main campaign takes players back to the events in the early 1990s after Black Ops Cold War and close to the end of the Cold War. The campaign involves clandestine missions with diverse methods and gameplay approaches that players can choose from. The missions will take place across Southern Europe, the Russian Tundra, the US, and the Middle Eastern desert.

Before the game launches on October 25th, there will be a free open beta and pre-orders will grant players early access just like on previous Call of Duty releases.
