Apple on Wednesday announced AppleCare One, a new $19.99 monthly subscription service that covers protection for up to three Apple products in one plan. Customers can include additional devices under the plan for an additional cost of $5.99 per product per month.
Starting from tomorrow, customers can sign up for AppleCare One directly on their iPhone, iPad, or Mac, or at the nearest Apple Store. With AppleCare One, customers get the same coverage that comes with AppleCare Plus, including 24/7 priority support from Apple experts, battery coverage, and unlimited repairs for accidental damage. Under AppleCare One, theft and loss protection expands to the iPad and Apple Watch.

Customers can add any Apple products of their choice to AppleCare One at the same monthly subscription fee. This would amount to a saving of $11 monthly for customers with an individual AppleCare Plus subscription for their iPhone, iPad, or Apple Watch. While AppleCare Plus only provides a 60-day window from purchase for customer to protect their devices, AppleCare One will let customers add products they already own that are less than four years old to the service, provided they are in “good condition.” To verify that a product is still in “good condition,” Apple says it may run diagnostic checks on them, or at an Apple Store, before they are added to the AppleCare One plan.
Only Apple products under a customer’s Apple Account can be added to AppleCare One. With the subscription service, customers can easily manage, add, or remove products from the plan at any time. AppleCare One joins Apple One as a bundle subscription package from Apple, offering customers access to multiple Apple services at a single monthly subscription fee.
