Transsion Holdings has hit the market with the TECNO Pop 2 Pro. This release comes on the heels of the TECNO Pop 2 and the TECNO Pop 2 Power.

The devices fall within the same series. However, the TECNO Pop 2 Pro stands out with its exotic look, larger storage space, and a big battery. It also comes with reasonable camera on both sides of the device. Check out the essential features of Pop 2 Pro.

Tecno Pop 2 Pro Design and Display

The Tecno Pop 2 Pro consists of plastic and shares a look similar to other phones in the Pop series. The device has a width of 72.8mm and a length of 149.76mm.

At the front of the phone lies on a 5.5-inch display with a resolution of 960 x 480 pixels. The LCD also has an aspect ratio of 18:9. Below the screen lies a large chin while at the edge of the device lies the volume and power buttons.

On the back panel lies a horizontally placed single primary camera. The sensor lies beside an LED flash. The back panel also has a centrally situated fingerprint scanner.

You can find the phone in colour options such Champagne Gold, Midnight Black, and a purple-and-blue gradient.


Tecno Pop 2 Pro Camera

The Pop 2 Pro has a single camera with an f/2.2 aperture alongside an LED flash for capturing images in low light. The sensor can shoot videos at 720p at speeds of 30fps. It also supports HDR and Autofocus functions. The selfie snapper measures at 8MP and comes with an LED flash.


Tecno Pop 2 Pro Hardware and Software

Under the hood, the smartphone has a MediaTek MT6580 processor. This chipset runs at 1.3GHz and works alongside a Mali-400MP2 GPU.

The Tecno Pop 2 Pro offers 1GB worth of RAM and an internal storage space of 16GB. However, you can extend the storage to 64GB with a MicroSD card.

The device runs on Android 8.1 Oreo (Go Edition) wrapped with Tecno’s in-house HiOS skin.

This newest addition to the Pop series has the support from a massive 3,050mAh battery. This capacity offers extended use times and longer standby times.

Like most phones, the Pop 2 Pro has dual slots for Nano SiMs. The device supports 2G and 3G networks however it does not work with 4G LTE. The device works with WiFi standards including Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct and Hotspot.

The Pop 2 Pro includes a Bluetooth v.40. It also has a MicroUSB port for mass storage and charging functions.
