The Infinix Note 60 Pro is officially here, and it’s not just another phone; it’s a “game changer” for the Nigerian market. For the first time ever, Infinix has packed a Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 5G chip into a Note series phone, giving you the kind of speed and power that makes everything from heavy multitasking to “pressing” your apps feel smoother than ever. It has that sharp, modern design, so you’re always stepping out in style.
I’ve spent the last two weeks really putting this phone to the test, and to my surprise, it handled everything I threw at it, from lasting more than 40 hours on a single charge to using it to create content. It definitely stands out from the average smartphone, and maybe that’s why it’s called the Pro.

Sleek Design and Build Quality
The Note 60 Pro features a durable, matte-textured aluminum frame with curved edges and thin borders, making it tough yet very comfortable to hold. The phone is impressively thin and fits perfectly in my pocket. In fact, the design is so premium that it’s a total head-turner. Immediately I brought the Note 60 Pro out in public, people started asking if it was the new iPhone 17 Pro Max.

At just 7.45mm, it has a high-end look and feels like a high-quality device. It weighs 201 grams, and it feels solid, but it’s still lighter than other phones.
Display
The display on this phone feels huge and immersive because the black borders are so thin they almost disappear. This makes watching videos or playing games a lot more fun since the display takes up nearly the entire front of the device.

Even though the screen is large at 6.78 inches, the phone is still comfortable to use. Using the screen every day has been a great experience, as the colours look bright and punchy, and because of the high resolution, everything from text to images looks incredibly sharp. It also has a 144 Hz refresh rate, which is just a technical way of saying that scrolling through apps and watching animations feels silky smooth. Even when you’re outside on a sunny day, the screen stays bright enough to see clearly.
The edges are curved, so it fits naturally in your palm and doesn’t dig into your hand during long sessions. For extra peace of mind, the front is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, which not only helps prevent scratches but also gives the whole phone a more high-end, premium feel.
Performance: Snapdragon Power
The Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 is the star of the show. This is a big deal because it’s the first time Infinix has used this high-tier processor in the Note series. When it comes to power, the chipset paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage handled my daily routine easily. It was built specifically for speed and performance.

To keep the phone running smoothly even when you’re using it for a long time, it features a built-in 3D IceCore VC chamber cooling system. Think of this like a tiny radiator that pulls heat away from the processor so the phone doesn’t slow down or get too hot.
During our review of the Infinix GT 30 Pro, we talked about the MagCharge Cooler, which creates active cooling for the device. This external setup does a similar job to the 3D IceCore VC chamber found inside the Note 60 Pro. While the GT 30 Pro uses those outside add-ons to stay chilled, the Note 60 Pro has that cooling power built right into the phone itself to keep everything running smoothly. It gives you enough power for intense gaming sessions while staying efficient enough to handle your normal, everyday tasks without draining the battery or lagging.
The phone also handles multitasking like a pro. At one point, I was streaming the Arsenal vs. Tottenham Premier League match while downloading huge files in the background, and the device didn’t slow down or stutter at all. It stayed quick and responsive the entire time. I didn’t feel any lag while switching between different apps, browsing the web, or scrolling through social media. Even casual gaming felt smooth and snappy.
I’ve tried other phones at this price that really struggle when you try to do too many things at once, but the Note 60 Pro didn’t freeze or slow down at all. It’s obvious that Infinix did a great job making the processor, software, and memory work together perfectly.
Gaming Performance
The Note 60 Pro is built to handle high-speed gaming, offering a smooth experience for some of the most popular games on the Play Store. In high-end games like Honor of Kings, you can hit up to 120 FPS, delivering a fluid and responsive experience during intense gameplay.

Software performance
The Infinix Note 60 Pro runs on XOS version 16.1.0 based on Android 16, which offers a clean and intuitive user experience. One of the most fun features is the Active Matrix Display, which consists of the Matrix Studio and Matrix Miniplay. This is a small, interactive LED panel on the back of the phone that lights up to show you notifications or cool animations. It’s a unique touch that adds a bit of personality and playfulness to the phone that you won’t find on most other smartphones.

The phone features unique functional touches like the iconic Halo Light for status alerts and a new customizable “One-Tap Button” for quickly opening apps or silencing the phone. Additionally, the device now offers built-in health tracking tools that allow you to check your heart rate and blood oxygen levels directly through the screen or app.
Other features include the outdoor booster, game mode, motion sickness relief display, smart panel, split-screen apps, and floating windows. Talkback, multi-device connection, Infinix AI, etc.
6500mAh Battery Performance
The 6500mAh battery is one of the best things about the Infinix Note 60 Pro. Even with regular daily use like taking calls, scrolling through social media, recording some videos, and playing games here and there, I consistently got almost two full days of power before needing to plug it in.
The fast charging on this phone is just as impressive as the battery life. Using the 90W charger that comes in the box, I was able to get a full 100% charge in only about 43 minutes, while the 30W wireless charger gets to 100% in about an hour. The 90W charger is a total lifesaver when you’re in a rush and realize you forgot to plug your phone in.
Camera Performance: The Night Master
The camera also falls into the category of one of the most impressive features of this device. It features a 50MP Night Master rear sensor along with an 8MP ultra-wide lens that consistently captures sharp and colourful photos. I was most impressed by how this phone handles photos in the dark. The sensor pulls in much more light than I anticipated, so your night shots stay detailed and look natural rather than “fake” or over-edited.

The rear camera also uses Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) to keep your shots steady. After taking a lot of pictures and videos, I found the results were even better than I expected.

For selfies, there is a 13MP camera on the front. In the daylight, your selfies will look bright and vibrant, and it also performs well in the dark, producing very good, detailed shots indoors and at night. For video, it can record in 4K at 30 frames per second, which is a solid feature. For someone who enjoys photography and vlogging using a phone, the Note 60 Pro definitely gives you more than you’d expect for the price.

Final Verdict
The Infinix Note 60 Pro offers a few special features and hits the mark when it comes to the basics. Most importantly, it’s the first phone in the Note series to use a high-quality Snapdragon processor. It also charges incredibly fast, offering both 90W wired charging and 30W wireless charging, a luxury you don’t usually see at this price. On the outside, it feels premium thanks to a sturdy metal frame and a unique “Active Matrix” LED light system that gives it a distinct look.
This device is a great fit if you need a reliable phone for your everyday life. It is perfect for people who want a battery that lasts all day and the convenience of both super-fast wired charging and wireless charging. If you find yourself taking a lot of photos at dinner or out at night, you will also appreciate that the “Pro” camera keeps those low-light shots looking clean and organized.
When it comes to gaming, the Infinix Note 60 Pro is a fantastic performer for its class. However, it is important to be realistic. While it’s great for the specific games we played, if you are a “hardcore” professional gamer who needs the absolute highest frame rates in every single high-end game, you might find this phone has its limits.

Price and Availability
In Nigeria, the Infinix Note 60 Pro is currently available for around 499,000 naira for the 8 GB + 256 GB variant, and it is available for purchase at authorized stores and retailers nationwide.
