Infinix Launches the Note 40 Series in Nigeria

Following a successful global release, Infinix has officially introduced the latest smartphone in its Note 40 series, the Note 40 and 40 Pro, into the Nigerian smartphone market.

Oluwayemisi Ode, Integrated Marketing Communications and PR Manager for Infinix Nigeria, gave the opening speech, stating that after 2 years of charging, the battery strength of the device remains at 80%.

She added that the debuted Note 40 series smartphones in Nigeria are offering a total of three models across the lineup. This includes the Note 40, 40 Pro, and Note 40 Pro 5G.

The models available in the Nigerian market starting today are the Note 40 and 40 Pro, with the Note 40 Pro 5G expected to be available soon.

Infinix Lagos regional training manager, Mr. Richard Ahachi, unveiled a series of specifications and unique features of the Note 40 series.

The device offers all around fast charging 2.0, an active halo design, 120 HZ AMOLED giving a smooth feel and vivid display, 1300 nit ensures the display and brightness of the phone, a 3D curve display with a perfect curve at 55°, IP53 anti-splash and dust resistance, and corning gorilla glass that protects the screen from fall and scratch.

Users also get exceptional performance with a 6nm Helio G99 Ultimate processor, Xboost gaming engine, dual speakers with sound by JBL, in-finger display print, and a 5000 mAH battery with the Note 40 Pro featuring a 70 W fast charge and the Note 40 having a 45 W fast charge.

An array of unique camera features—a 108 MP optical image stabilization (OIS) rear camera, a 32 MP selfie camera, a super zoom camera, and 15+ camera modes designed to meet the ever-expanding needs of a smartphone user in Nigeria—were also introduced to attendees at the media parley at the Marriott Hotel, GRA, Ikeja Lagos.

He stated that the Note 40 series is equipped with the “Active Halo design” on the back, which gives the phone a soft light behind it for incoming messages and call notifications, charging indications, and many more.

Wireless charging has become a popular feature in smartphones as it offers convenient and cable-free charging, which is highly favored by users.

The Note 40 series ticks off the boxes when it comes to innovation, and it features a wireless MagCharge that allows users to charge their devices wirelessly. It is the first phone that comes with a wireless charging pad attached to it.

In the Note 30 VIP and the Note 30 Pro, we have powerful 50W and 15W wireless fast charging, respectively. However, for the Note 40, Infinix took it a step further by providing a 20W wireless charging pad that is magnetic, providing flagship-level wireless charging at an affordable price.

According to him, a newly added feature is the IR remote control, which gives users the flexibility of using the device as a remote control, just like your TV and AC remote.

Uche Michael from Showmax talked more about the partnership with Infinix and what the online subscription video-on-demand service is offering users that purchase the Note 40 series or any other Infinix device.

Customers that purchase the Note 40 series get a free 3-month subscription to view entertainment, both local and international, and 380 English Premier League matches live. Users that purchase Infinix devices get 3 months of a Showmax subscription for 8,500 naira instead of the regular price of 12,500 naira.

Taking customer feedback into consideration, Infinix has launched the Note 40 series with a 2-year Android update and 36-month security patches.

The Infinix NOTE 40 and NOTE 40 Pro can be purchased at any accredited Infinix retail store nationwide. You get the opportunity to win instant gift items if you purchase the device during the first sales happening from March 19th to 31st.

The Note 40 and 40 Pro come in three colours: vintage green, titan gold, and obsidian black.

Infinix Nigeria’s digital marketing manager, Tobi Adono concluded by announcing the price and the upcoming competition for Infinix fans and users. The Note 40 Pro (256 GB + 8 GB)  is priced at 396.900 naira, and the Note 40 (256GB + 8GB) is priced at 327,900 naira.

He further stated that the content creation skills challenge, #NotableCreatorChallenge, is to empower creators by rewarding them for showcasing their skills.

Participants are to create a 1-minute video in any category, such as travel, entertainment, or lifestyle, and post it on their social media channels to win the Note 40 Pro smartphone as the grand prize for two winners. Four runners-up will each receive content creation training worth 100,000 naira.
