Infinix Hot 5 and Hot 5 Lite has finally been unveiled by Infinix Mobility on its social media pages; unlike the Hot 4 and Hot 4 Pro that was released last year, the Hot 5 will be coming with a Lite version and not a Pro . After launching the Note 4 and Note 4 Pro barely a month ago, the mobile phone manufacturer has now unveiled its next iteration of the Hot series for this year and it’s a budget smartphone from the specifications seen below.

Infinix Hot 5 and Hot 5 Lite Performance and OS

The new Hot 5 and Hot 5 Lite runs on Android 7.0 Nougat based on Infinix’s XOS 2.2 UI and is powered by a quad-core processor. It has a 5.5-inch HD screen just like the Hot 4. There is actually not much to talk about for this device as the specifications are low-end; on the image fronting side, there is an 8MP rear camera with LED Flash and a 5MP front camera with LED Flash for taking selfies.

The Hot 5 has a 2GB RAM but the Hot 5 Lite comes with a 1GB RAM and a 16GB internal memory which can be expanded up to 128GB via the SD card slot. It has a 4000mAh battery capacity just like its predecessor. On the connectivity side, there is no 4G LTE support but there is a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor on the Hot 5, however, the Hot 5 Lite does not come with a fingerprint sensor.

Which Should You Go For, the Hot 5 Lite or the Hot 5?

The Hot 5 lite is a scaled-down version of the Hot 5 itself. There’s really not much difference but with the few differences, you can make a decision on which to buy. The Hot 5 has a 2GB RAM size and a fingerprint sensor while the Hot 5 Lite comes with a 1GB RAM but no fingerprint sensor. The Hot 5 Lite is also cheaper than the Hot 5 itself as expected.
