Huawei Announces Nova 7 Series with 64MP Cameras and 5G Connectivity

Huawei has announced the Nova 7, Nova 7 Pro and Nova 7 SE. The three devices share almost the same specifications but the difference comes in displays and chipsets. All three devices are powered by 4,000mAh batteries with 40W fast charging. They have 64MP main shooters and come with 5G connectivity.

The Nova 7 Pro has 6.57 OLED panel with curved edges. It has a FHD+ resolution and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. At the front is a pill-shaped cutout which houses the dual selfie camera with 32MP and 8MP sensors. It also comes with an in-display fingerprint scanner.

At the back is a quad-camera setup with a 1/1.7” 64MP main shooter, an 8MP ultrawide angle lens, an 8MP periscope module with Optical Image Stabilization which is capable of 5X optical and up to 50X hybrid zoom. The fourth camera is a 2MP macro lens.

The Nova 7 Pro runs on Android 10 on EMUI 10.1. It is powered by the in-house Kirin 985 chipset paired with an 8GB of RAM and 128/256GB internal storage.

Sales begin April 28 and the smartphone will be available in black, purple, green, red and silver colours. The 8/128GB variant will go for $522 while the 8/256GB variant will go for $580.

Nova 7 comes with a 6.53” OLED display with an FHD+ resolution. It has a 20:9 aspect ratio and it also features an in-display fingerprint scanner. It has a punch-hole cutout which houses the 32MP selfie camera.

It comes with the same 64 main shooter as the Pro model. Its 8MP telephoto is capable of 3X optical zoom and 5X hybrid zoom. It also has a 2MP macro camera.

It runs on Android 10 based on the EMUI and is powered by the Kirin 985 chipset. It has an 8GB of RAM and a 128/256GB internal storage.

Sales begin April 28 and the smartphone will be available in black, purple, green, red and silver colours. The 8/128GB variant will go for $425 while the 8/256GB variant will go for $480.

Huawei Nova 7 SE

Nova 7 SE has a 6.5” IPS LCD display. It has a punch-hole cut out for its 16MP selfie camera and its fingerprint scanner is mounted by the side of the device.

It has the same quad-camera setup and the Nova 7 but the telephoto lens is replaced by a 2MP depth sensor.

It is powered by a different Kirin 820 chipset paired with an 8GB RAM and 128/256GB internal storage.

Sales begin April 28 and the smartphone will be available in black, purple, green and silver colours. The 8/128GB variant will go for $340 while the 8/256GB variant will go for $395.
