You Can Now Unmention Yourself from Twitter Conversations

twitter fix disappearing tweets

After introducing its “unmentioning” feature to a small group of web users in April, Twitter is now making the feature available to everyone on all devices. The company announced the wide rollout of the feature on its TwitterSafety account on Monday.

With unmentioning, users can take control of their mentions and leave a conversation. To remove yourself from a conversation or tweet, go to the tweet and click on the three-dotted menu at the top-right corner to bring up options. When you tap on “Leave this conversation” from the pop-up you are prompted to tap again to finally remove and untag yourself from the conversation.

Despite its ongoing drama with Elon Musk over the agreed takeover, Twitter has been rolling out new features to its platform. The company recently began testing CoTweets and also rolled out the ability to write long-form content in June. The company is currently involved in a legal battle with Tesla CEO, Elon Musk after he officially tried to pull the plug on the $44 billion takeover agreement.
