On Thursday, WhatsApp announced it is rolling out new updates and features to improve the instant messaging platform. Amongst the features is the ability to have two WhatsApp accounts logged in at the same time on a single iOS device. The feature has been available for a while on Android, but it is finally coming to iOS. To easily differentiate between the two accounts, users will be able to see their profile picture in the bottom tab.

As part of the other features, users are now able to free up spaces directly within a chat. To free up space, simply tap the chat name and select ‘Manage Storage’. The app will show large files, and users can easily delete them. The cross-platform chat transfer feature has now been expanded to include support for moving chat history from Android to iOS. It was already possible to move chat history within the same platform. Stickers have become popular over the years on WhatsApp, and the Meta-owned company is now making it easier to use them more than ever. As you type emojis, WhatsApp will now suggest stickers.

It wouldn’t be a complete update without the addition of features from Meta AI. Users can now use Meta AI to touch up photos directly in chats before sending them. Writing Help, an AI-powered feature, can now “draft a suggested response based on your conversation, so you can get your message just right – all while keeping your chats completely private.”

The new features are rolling out now globally and will be available to everyone “soon,” WhatsApp says.
